The pot was dried out over several weeks, about 6, then carefully placed in the kiln for the bisque firing. After a 20 hour drying cycle at 60 degrees centigrade, the pot was then bisque fired. For those of you who want to know the technical info here is my bisque firing cycle:
60 degrees an hour to 660 degrees then 150 degrees an hour to 980 and soak for 10 mins at 980
The pot came out fine with a nice dull ring to it.



The pot will be glaze fired after I have had a chat with the customer about the glaze colour and style. The tree that is going in the pot is a huge Silver Birch. I will post pictures after the glaze firing
